France is recognized as the poodle’s country of origin.   They served a variety of purposes including duck hunting, guiding and circus performing.    My poodles range from 4 lbs to 12 lbs, so both the toy and miniature varieties are represented.   Those up to 10 inches at the shoulders are considered toys and those over 10 inches are miniatures. 

      I have many colors of poodles including parti colored or spotted.  Poodles do not shed making them a good match for allergy sufferers.  They pass on this characteristic which is one reason that they are so often crossed with other breeds.

       Toy poodles are extremely smart and sensitive, playful, proud and elegant making them great companions and one of the most popular pets in the world.   They have a lifespan of 13-15 years, love human companionship, occasionally getting into mischief.  They get along great in an apartment, but love to go out and see new people and places.

   Poodles need regular grooming for their fine, curly hair.

Pris and Lightning have three beautiful little girls.  They were born on 7-12-10 and will be registered with AKC.  Mostly white, one of the girls may have some red spots on her face and ears like her daddy.  They should mature around 6-10 lbs.  Watch for pictures when they are older.
